The production of one printer cartridge requires 3.3 liters of oil on average, which is equivalent to 1 liter of petroleum or 0.0037 cubic meters of carbon dioxide. Repeated use of consumables reduces significantly the emissions of hazardous waste (waste from laser printer cartridges is complex waste consisting of different plastic and toner).
